Our Customers Say It Best:

family-owned and operated in western australia

Soko & Co is a family-owned business that operates out of Western Australia. With two brick-and-mortar stores in Perth and an online store that services nationwide, our tiny but mighty team is filled with some of the greatest people you'll ever meet.

We've been the organisational experts for over 20 years, and our loyal clients, many of whom we now call close friends, come to us for our friendly team, knowledge and expertise, and the highest quality organisational range in Australia.

Kitchen Bench Storage & Accessories

The kitchen bench is one of the most important part of the kitchen. Why? Because it's what you see first! The kitchen bench can be quick to clutter, so having a clean and tidy bench can help you destress in the kitchen. Small, light accessories that add to the space in terms of aesthetic, whilst benefiting your routine, are the best choice. Our range of kitchen bench storage and accessories are designed to do exactly that! From minimalist paper towel holders to charming fruit bowls, our chic accessories make a charming addition to any kitchen.

How to store paper towels?

We have a wide range of paper towels available depending on how you'd prefer to store them. Our collection includes weighted-base Paper Towel Dispensers for the kitchen bench for easy accessing thanks to the one-handed easy-tear design. Alternatively, if you want to free up the bench space, Wall Mounted Paper Towel Dispensers are a great solution.

Decorative ways to organise the kitchen bench

The kitchen bench is often the first thing we see when entering the kitchen, so decorating it in a way that is stylish whilst also functional is critical, as we all know how precious kitchen bench space is! Here are some of our favourite ways to dress up the bench!

  • Fruit Bowls: Fruit bowls are a great way to store your fruit in a high traffic spot so that you know what you have and ensure they're used before they spoil. A simple, Matte Black Fruit Basket makes a perfect acommpaniment to a colourful selection of fruits.
  • Mug Trees: Does a coffee or tea call your name every morning? A mug tree is a fun accessory that can store your collection of mugs in an easy-to-reach spot. Mug trees look amazing next to coffee machines and kettles and help dedicate a drinks station on the bench.
  • Glass Protective Boards: These colourful boards add a spark and point of visual interest to the kitchen. The glass boards are a handy multi-purpose tool that can be used as a hot-plate trivet and for food preparation.

What to consider when picking a compost bin

Compost bins have been rolling out in suburbs across Australia, so there's never been a better time to find the right one for you. Kitchen compost bins typically live on the kitchen bench, so it's important that they blend into the space rather than ending up with an eyesore. You'll likely notice that compost bins have a low capacity, averaging about 5L, this is because you will want to be emptying it regularly to avoid any unwanted smells. That being said, you don't want to be running out to the bins 3 times a day, so we have (of course) found a solution! We recommend opting for bins with either air vents or charcoal filters! Air vent bins are great from controlling air flow to both promote decomposing and also prevent odours. Charcoal filtered bins are the best of both worlds! They allow air to flow in and out whilst trapping odours inside.
